Good, but dark One of the reasons I love Nina Kiriki Hoffman's work is what I perceive to be her dark, bitter chocolate flavor. This means that some of her work is too dark for me. While this work isn't near as disturbing as the story about the child locked in the closet, it is too dark for me to give a five star review. Overall, it is well written and interesting, just a bit dismal.. Miff said Brilliant. Always happy to have more Nina Kiriki Hoffman stories to read. Every word is beautiful & I'm off to buy some more!
