Nadia Sahari takes readers to a place that can break the spirits of most. From the smell of cigar smoke that symbolizes how her abuse began to repeated abuse for many years, it takes readers through her nightmare. I neglected my work, my house and could not stop reading. I read it in one day because I had to know how she could pick herself up and fight on to become the courageous, energetic, successful woman, wife and mother she is today. T. Inspirational. Nadia's story is inspirational in that regardless of the continued mental and physical abuse in her life she manages to rise above it all and reclaim her life. It is a hard book to "put down". You will want to know "what happens next" once you have started reading it and this will make it hard to "put down"."BREAKAWAY" is a reminder and a reality check on how mental and physical abuse permeates our society. It is unfortunate that victims of abuse are often right in front of us and w. A story like this needed to be told. The list of human rights violations that this brave woman endured reads like some horror movie, it's heart-rending that all of this happened to a single person: childhood molestation, domestic violence, rape, forced illegal abortion, wife battery (while pregnant!), the list of crises went on and on. The author is thankfully writing from a place of great healing, having managed to change her life completely despite these hardships. Surrounding herself with lovin
