A Wonderful Read A Living Nightmare gave me just that. At every turn Shan gives some very vivid visual images about what is happening to him. The way that Shan begins his book sent chills down my spine. I really liked that he put a spider on the first page of every chapter. I think though, that my favorite part is when he describes his dream of the spider crawling down his throat and eating him from the inside out.
