Joni said My Favorite from the Series So Far. I have purchased four of the six books from Cindy Berry's series What Can I Play On Sunday, and this is my favorite. Its compositions are well within reach of a person with moderate to slightly advanced sight reading skills, are melodic, and varied. There are two patriotic compositions included that would be useful outside of church. I intend to acquire all six of these books eventually.. "enjoyable" according to DMH. Ordering music, especially music to play for a church service, can be challenging. How do you know if it will be well written? Can it be learned quickly? and Is worshipful? This book meets all three questions skillfully. This delightful music is tonal without needing a driving beat for excitement(I can't say that about all of Cindy Berry arrangements, however). She uses a variety of styles in her arrangements making them interesting to play (without lots of practice for the intermed. What I was looking for! terrim Just what I was looking for, beautifully arrangements of mostly familiar hymns and a few of those patriotic songs for the appropriate Sundays. Arrangements that are not too hard to prepare for weekly performances. Highly recommend.
