"A Big Disappointment" according to Thomas D. Orr. The voices on this CD are excellent, but the content is not. I was expecting Agatha Christie's wonderful mystery with her rich and colorful descriptive writing. This audio CD is nothing more than a truncated version of "At Bertram's Hotel." A great deal has been omitted, and the listening experience is unsatisfactory. A great disappointment as I was anticipating so much more.

Agatha Christie was awarded a CBE in 1956 and was made a Dame of the British Empire in 1971. During the World War I she worked as a hospital dispenser, where she gleaned the working knowledge of various poisons. However, it was not until the publication of The Murder of Roger Ackroyd that Agatha Christie’s reputation was firmly established. Her first novel was The Mysterious Affair at Styles, published in 1920, followed over the next six years by four more detective novels and a short story collection. She died in 1976..
