Real Band, Real Music So much of the literature available to drummers who are interested in increasing their reading comprehension seems to range from lackluster to rubbish. This book and accompanying CD is in a separate category: Real Deal. In this book, one will find good, contemporary charts and excellent performances by the ensemble to play along with or listen to. Highly recommended for those of us out there wanting to read more.. "Excellent book and Excellent band, BUT." according to Joe Annis. I found the book and the band to be superb. Great variety for an experienced reader, but.the sound quality of the CD is terrible, distorted, like it was recorded too loud, so when I cranked it up a little, it just got worse. Headphones were bearable at a minimum volume but using speakersno way. Maybe I got a lemon CD. If I received a good CD, I would give this 5 stars. Anybody listening?. "If you want to get better at jazz and chart reading" according to Nicholas Utter. If you want to get better at jazz and chart reading, buy this book right now! It is very enjoyable to play along to and allows the drummer to do exactly what they want to do. The drumless tracks help you focus your groove on the band, not the drummer. I wish they didn't provide so much help with the click during the quiet parts of the song. We need practice!
