"Decent book with not enough Batgirl!" according to S. Penrose. The great about Beechen's Batman Beyond is that he obviously cares a great deal for the character. In this collection there are a handful of different stories but the lead-in dealing with Dana and the fallout from the previous arc was phenomenal. The rest of the book was a pretty big step back. Max's dealings with Undercloud were less than satisfying and the Batgirl should have been elongated. Overall, an amazing opening chapter but just average after that.. Banon said The digital chapters makes this awkward. They should have just made the 10,000 clowns trade a deluxe size and included this story. It follows it directly, leading into what was already being built up. On its own like this, the story feels weak and short. Too short for a trade. DC knew this and threw in two comics from the old Batman Beyond run, the one that was being released around the time of the cartoon. It's a random addition to this, especially since they're in no way connected. I don't think any of those comics are considere. "Don't buy if you are excited by a new Batgirl." according to Tenshisonnet. The art is very clean and the writing is just as you remember in the cartoon. While the story arcs in this TPB are fun, only one issue was about the new Batgirl on the cover. If that's the only story that interests you, go to a brick and mortar and read it in 5 minutes.
