The books were written in the 50s, and i thought when i went in the 80s that the people would be different, but they were as he described in the three stories of living on Corfu. The food and music were also as he described . I am collecting first editions of Durrells's books if they have any story about that time just before WWII., for my library and i have introduced his writi. I just finished reading and laughing through his book, My Family and Other Animals. Let me start by saying that my home is filled with animals. Currently, we share out house with two dogs and two cats, but at times we have also hosted frogs, guinea pigs, and rabbits.
