Book does not live up to title's promise Suzanne R. Arnholt Though there is nothing wrong in this book, it would work better as a study than as a book to read. There are questions at the end of each chapter to see if you are lining up with good habits for leading children to be disciples of Jesus. The "practical steps" are more general guidelines, and much of the writing seems to be trying to inspire guilt rather than to provide helpful suggestions for imp. Good thoughts, Good exercises. I didn't find anything extra special about this book, but that should not sound negative as I may have had higher expectations that weren't completely met. Spoelstra walks with the reader through the heart of the major disciplines of the Christian life (prayer, bible study, mentoring relationships, community within the church, service to others, sabbath rest, "giving" back to God, and sharing one'.
