With ex-pat family in Britain, I had to find out why they'd be so hot for cricket after years of baseball. This well-illustrated guide takes one carefully through the complexities of the game, along with classic British witticisms and acknowledgement of its idiosyncracies. After reading it, I called family and said, "I now know what a googly is.". Excellent primer on cricket A great little book for learning cricket. I found it a surprising page-turner due to the entertaining writing. The illustrations are a bit dated but effective nonetheless. A worthy buy.
'Marvellous the best explanation (of cricket) I've ever seen.'
